In July KCF Student Ministry joined the youth from Faith West Academy to go to the annual Rock the River summer camp in Wimberley. There, our teenagers heard the Word daily, participated in Bible lessons in small groups, tubed in the Blanco River, played atSchlitterbahn Waterpark, and much more. We talked with Student Pastor Courtney when they got back; she led the 6th grade girls and heard their mature concerns about their faith and their lives. The girls talked about their salvation and how to live by the Spirit when they live in a world of peer pressure, fears, self-doubt, and perfectionism. And God was listening. On the last night, the whole-camp message was about surrendering to God, and Courtney said He showed all of the 6th grade girls that He is the Creator and Designer of all marvelous works when He punctuated the message by a meteor shower, shooting stars across the night sky. In Him, youth and adults alike can trust, and many of our students gave Him their trust, or renewed their trust, that night.
